“Until Death Do Us Apart” Part 4.0

Before I start my latest blog I need to take a moment and focus on the positive.

………..There, I did it! Let’s see how long this last before I break into a raging blog of hate!

Last Friday I was in NYC and as much as I love the city I cannot stand driving in it! To echo the words a friend told me later that night in regards to NYC, “it’s like seeing a bear in the woods, it looks great from far away, but I wouldn’t want to be near it”. How true is that, the city looks so amazing New Jersey but I just don’t want to have anything to do with it.  That being said I quickly crossed over to Hoboken to get food at one of my all time favorite Mexican restaurants East LA.  East LA is really Tex-Mex more than it being authentic Mexican food but that is just fine with me. Their salsa totally rules!  After fueling up I was off to Northvale, I had major trouble getting to the Palisades Parkway (thank you asshole who broke into my truck and stole my GSP a few months ago). Long story short I made it up to Northvale right on time @ 6pm. And then the weekend really began……….

Pink Sparkly Wine!

Followed up by a Chocolate Martini, some thick (yet good) chocolate shot, a shot of 151 Bacardi and before I knew it we were off to Dingbats!  A Few Jaeger Bombs (about 5 of them) some beer and the night had begun.  Oh don’t worry, I didn’t drive, it was nice to be driven around by a Living Legend of Metal!

Good times!

Ended up watching some pretty intense metal  bands, met Billy’s good friend and professional wrestler “Bobcat” and ended up talking to her body guard all night on how I thought making movies must be easy which lead to this entirely other topic about Vin Diesel working at a NYC gay club before he “made it” as a bouncer.

I don’t remember much from that point on, other than getting tired of hearing the local death metal bands screaming all night, a conversation about Freddy Fingers, and a glass of wine once we got back to the house.

Bed time.

Woke up with a mild hang over, and I say mild because I figured with that much booze pumping through my veins I should have felt a lot worse then I did. Dunkin Donuts, a missed exit which lead me all the way down 87 and I was back on my way home.  Connecticut.

Just made it home in time for my beloved Celtics, only to see them lose in game one to the Baby Bulls, more and more beer, and the rest was history………

The rise and fall of a great weekend.
